In 2012 Sulkhan attended a training course in traditional upholstery administered by Tresithick Upholstery Training in Cornwall. This gave him a solid understanding of the technical engineering and construction of quality furniture and how to upholster or re-upholster it appropriately.
In the experience of Q-Style Upholstery, these days and in the long term, it is more cost-effective to re-upholster a quality sofa or chair, than to buy a new one. This is because equivalent new furniture, available from well known outlets, does not appear to be as well made and capable of giving a similar length of service.
